Salary: NJC Grade A - £23,656 FTE (This will be paid pro-rata to reflect hours and weeks worked)

Working Pattern: This is a part-time, permanent position working 16.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year

Due to an increase in meal numbers, we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly team.

Main duties will include:

  • The serving of hot and cold food
  • Maintaining a hygienic kitchen
  • Promoting the service to further increase meal uptake and positively encouraging healthy food choices when serving the children

Ideally, we are looking for someone with knowledge and experience of working in a catering environment but will also consider someone with a professional approach who is keen to learn.

The post of Kitchen Assistant is a part-time, permanent position working 16.25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. These hours will be worked Monday to Friday 11.00 – 2.15pm.

Our food production kitchen is at St Andrew’s School in Cullompton and there will be a requirement to travel between both sites as part of this role.

Please note: there is a contractual requirement for the successful candidate who is a designated ‘essential user’ to have their own vehicle at their disposal throughout the working day, this will be on a daily basis. As such, this position attracts a driving allowance of £453 per annum.
